Solar panels wear out very slow, normally in a year they decrease their effectiveness like one- two present. Sometimes lesser than that rate they decrease it depends on weather and the other facts. Most of solar panels build by using crystalline silicon solar cells. But they survive more than 25 years.
Solar panels are taking advantage of Mother Nature’s most powerful and free source of energy. So we can make electricity all around the year. And they are also an emission-free way to harvest solar panel energy. But with the weather conditions change how much energy it can produce. Like if you might think solar panels are more efficient at sunny hot days, actually it’s not. Solar panels are work very well in cool conditions. It produces more power on sunny cold days than hot days. When the temperature increases the efficiency will decrease. The panel generates less current and the voltage. But even solar panels are more efficient in the cold weather, they don’t necessarily produce more power in winter than the summer.
How Do Solar Panels Generate Electricity?
Photovoltaic solar panels generate direct current (DC) electricity. With direct current electrons flow on direction of the circuit. But the almost all the countries around the world use the Alternative Current (AC), because it’s less expensive to transmit over long distance. Mono-crystalline solar cells
Mono-crystalline solar panels are really good product. The main advantage of the mono crystalline panel is it has more efficient with considering others. To make solar panels for mono crystalline they fist silicon form into bars. Then cut into wafers. These types of panels are called “mono-crystalline’” solar panels. That indicates that the silicon used it for single-crystal silicon. Because the cell is compose to a single crystal it has more room to the electrons to flow that generates. Because of that mono crystalline is more efficient than poly crystalline panels.
Poly-crystallin solar cells
Poly-crystalline has less efficiency than mono-crystalline solar panels. But the main advantage is lower price range than other panels. Poly crystalline panels have blue hue, But mono crystalline have black hue. Polo crystalline panels are also made by silicon’s. Instead of using single crystal like mono crystalline. Manufactures melt the silicon fragments of silicon together to form the wafers for the panel. Poly crystalline panels are also known as “multi silicon” or many crystal silicon. Because there are many crystals in each cell. Like we talk in mono crystalline cells, there is less room for the electron to move that generated prom photovoltaic effect. That’s the reason to have less efficiency in poly crystalline cells.
Amorphous solar cells
Amorphous sells are highly efficient than mono-crystalline and poly-crystalline. These cells are the most efficient cells in the market today. Although they want twice as much surface aria to produce same power like mono-crystalline panels do. But they are very flexible and can handle high temperature better than others. Amorphous cells are built by fine layer of silicon. That’s how those can be more flexible. And that’s how these panels got the quality of facing the temperature without affecting the output power. Also amorphous cells works really well in low light conditions than most efficient mono-crystalline panels. That’s just because they can absorb a wider range of visible light spectrum due to the ini-solar triple junction technology.
